Sign up for Kiser CPR’s Public Safety First Aid - Initial course and become equipped with all the necessary skills to provide life-saving aid in emergency situations. This 21-hour three-day course covers all requirements for public safety personnel as set by Title 22 Division 9 Chapter 1.5. Our experienced instructors will guide you through hands-on training and simulations, ensuring that you leave the course with the confidence and proficiency to handle any emergency. Day 1: o Section 1 (1.5 hours)  EMS Systems  Workplace Safety and Wellness  Lifting and Moving Patients  Medical, Legal, and Ethical Issue  Communications and Documentation o Section 2 (4 hours)  The Human Body  Airway  Airway Management  Professional Rescuer CPR o Section 3 (1.5 hours)  Patient Assessment • Day 2: o Section 4 (5 hours)  Medical Emergencies  Poisoning and Substance Abuse  Behavioral Emergencies  Environmental Emergencies o Section 5 (2 hours)  Bleeding, Shock, and Soft-Tissue Injuries  Injuries to Muscles and Bones • Day 3: o Section 6 (2 hours)  Special Patient Populations  Childbirth  Pediatric Emergencies o Section 7 (3 hours)  EMS Operations  Transport Operations  Vehicle Extrication and Special Rescue  Active Shooter  Hazardous Materials Awareness o Final (2 hours)  Final Skills and Cognitive Exams  Psychomotor Exams: Medical Assessments, Trauma Assessment, bleeding Control, epinephrine Auto Injectors, Long Bone Immobilizations, CPR/AED for professional Rescuer, Oxygen Administration, Bag-Valve Mask Ventilation of Apneic Patient, Naloxone Administration  Student must achieve an 80% of cognitive exam to pass.
