Service Description

Sign up for Kiser CPR’s Public Safety First Aid - Renewal course and become equipped with all the necessary skills to provide life-saving aid in emergency situations. This 14-hour two-day course covers all requirements for public safety personnel as set by Title 22 Division 9 Chapter 1.5. Our experienced instructors will guide you through hands-on training and simulations, ensuring that you leave the course with the confidence and proficiency to handle any emergency. Don’t wait, enroll today and prioritize public safety. Prerequisites: To attend our challenge course, students MUST have a foundation in the EMS profession. This includes former First Responders, EMR's, EMT's, Fire Fighters. This challenge course is designed to give students an avenue to get their PSFA certification for entry level hire in Cal Fire when their EMT or EMR has lapsed. Course Details: o Final (2 hours)  Final Skills and Cognitive Exams  Psychomotor Exams: Medical Assessments Trauma Assessment bleeding Control epinephrine Auto Injectors Long Bone Immobilizations CPR/AED for professional Rescuer Oxygen Administration Bag-Valve Mask Ventilation of Apneic Patient Naloxone Administration  Student must achieve an 80% on cognitive exam to pass.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: Students may cancel a booking 72 hours (or more) prior to the course date and time and receive a full refund. If student cancels registration less than 72 hours but before 24 hours in advance of the course date and time, a partial refund may be rewarded (up to 50% of booking fees). If student attempts to cancel class within 24 hours of course date and time, no refund will be issued, but student will have the option to reschedule course one time per the reschedule policy. Rescheduling Policy: If you need to reschedule a course, you may do so at no cost if reschedule is requested 48 hours or more prior to the course. You may only reschedule one time, and rescheduled appointments are not eligible for cancellation or refunds. If reschedule is requested within 48 hours of the course, a $25 reschedule fee will be applied prior to attendance in the course. If student "no-call, no-show's" to a course and requests to reschedule after their missed course, the student will be required to pay the full catalog price of their desired course prior to registration.
