Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Our American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification course provides comprehensive training to help you learn the skills to save lives. Our course is designed to teach you the latest techniques and protocols for managing cardiac arrest and other life-threatening medical emergencies. Our experienced instructors will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to become a certified ACLS provider.

Comprehensive Training

Our advanced cardiac life support training program is designed to provide comprehensive training in the skills needed to save lives. Our program covers the latest techniques and protocols for managing cardiac emergencies, as well as providing hands-on practice in the use of advanced medical equipment. Our program is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to be a successful life-saver. Initial and Renewal courses are available at our Redding, Chico, Medford, Woodland, and Eureka offices. Topics include: Basic life support review, airway management, bradycardic emergency care, tachycardia care, and megacode practice/testing.

Course Options

Our Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) program has several course offerings. 

 - First Time (Initial) Certification: If this is your first first time taking ACLS, or if your previous ACLS certification has expired, you will have to take this format.

- Students must complete Part I online and at home prior to the course. The course can be found at: https://elearning.heart.org/course/424

- After completion of the precourse work, students will attend our skills session.  

- Renewal Students: If you're renewing your ACLS, we offer a one-day update course that focuses on the bradycardia and tachycardia algorithms, Megacode practice, and airway management. 

- Students must complete the precourse self assessment prior to the course. This can be found at: https://elearning.heart.org/course/423

- Experienced Providers: If you have a current ACLS card and are looking to increase your knowledge of advanced practice, we also offer the ACLS Experienced Provider (EP) course. This one-day course delves deeper into pharmacology, ABG's, respiratory care, and post-cardiac arrest management of the severely ill.

Book Information

The ACLS Provider manual is required for all students and must be present during the course. The provider manual can purchased as a physical book or an eBook from our website HERE

ACLS Certification Cards

Upon completion of our course, students will receive a provider card that is valid for a period of 2 years. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive an AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support provider card from the American Heart Association. If students lose their cards or need a replacement, they can go to: www.ecards.heart.org/student/myecards or give us a call.
